Monica Vernon is what C.R. council needs

OK, we’ve hired a city manager and we’ve got a couple years under our belt with the new council structure. I am among the many people in this community who feel we are on the road to becoming the progressive city we were once renowned for.
To take us one step closer, elect Monica Vernon in the second district. Vernon listens to all constituents. Her balanced, informed and decisive style of leadership is what Cedar Rapids needs right now.
Cedar Rapids is on the path to becoming a well-rounded city — one that attracts young people and families, and supports the current residents, which makes for a vibrant and diverse community. At the same time, we need to improve Cedar Rapids in a way that fits within our revenue structure.
Vernon has a personal history of building consensus and making things happen. She has built her own business from the ground up and has served in many leadership capacities within this community. Her passion for this city, combined with her knowledge and leadership skills, would make her an asset on the City Council.
