Vernon will take it to the next level

After many years of same-old, same-old, Cedar Rapids made the change to a new form of government.

Bravo. Current members of the city council are willing first-timers to this new arrangement, and we thank them for their service. Now it’s time to improve the product by bringing more expertise to the table so we can take Cedar Rapids to the next level. We could really use someone with business acumen, marketing know-how and leadership experience, not to mention long-term vision, commitment to the city and an understanding of neighborhood issues. Doable?

You bet. Let’s put Monica Vernon on the city council so she can work on behalf of District 2 and all of Cedar Rapids. She’s got my vote.
