On council, Vernon will lead city in positive direction

Monica Vernon is an active member of the Cedar Rapids community. I plan on voting for her in the Cedar Rapids City Council election to represent District 2. I have known her for many years and she has always worked for the betterment of the city.

Her insight and leadership abilities will be a positive addition to our council.

Vernon has worked in many areas that have helped our city grow in a positive and insightful way.

Some of them are the Cedar Rapids Planning/Zoning Commission, the Madge Phillips Shelter and the Linn County Regional Planning Commission. In addition, she runs a successful business and is known for her involvement in the area of our schools.

Some areas that are of particular interest to her are: fiscal responsibility and accountability, neighborhood safety and economic development. She will work to help lead our city in a positive direction. Her election to the city council would benefit us all.
