Vernon shows commitment to Cedar Rapids

I have only been in Cedar Rapids for two years, however, I’ve gotten to know Monica Vernon well during that time.
I’ve gotten to know her so well because it seems as though every time I attend a community function or committee meeting she is there. She is truly a committed community leader involved in a variety of significant projects and programs ranging from the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce (past president) to the Jane Boyd House (board of directors). I’m a member of the Quality of Life Committee that she chairs. We’re addressing an array of important issues facing downtown in its revitalization efforts. During the time I’ve known Vernon, she has shown a tireless commitment to Cedar Rapids.
Her innovative approach, outstanding leadership skills and willingness to work collaboratively to find the best solutions to challenging problems make her an excellent candidate for City Council.
